DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES - With her camera in hand, 54-year-old Lucy Bolindo stepped back to take picture of the 1869 Pico House, the first three-story hotel in Los Angeles. She then walked up to a window for a closer look and cupped her hands over her eyes so she could see inside the widows.
It is a monument to 1940s cool – an iconic Art Deco-style hotel that has held its position among South Beach's most celebrated architectural structures. The hotel has long been a favorite among celebrities and locals alike and now celebrates its 70th year in operation.
